Florida Master Naturalist Program

The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Florida Master Naturalist Program Freshwater Systems Module sponsored by Omni Hotel, Nassau County Extension, and Duval County Extension will be offered  November 28, 29, 30, December 5, 6, and 7, 2017 (day classes from 9-4:30).  

Classroom sessions will be held at the Yulee County Building, 86026 Pages Dairy Road, Yulee, Fl 32097.

Advance registration is required. Course fee begins at $230 (see web site for full pricing).

Member-led program will explore the cultivation of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis, the tea industry’s environmental impact and the history and customs of afternoon tea. Members will create a petite design in a personal tea cup.

"Color Our Canopy"
FFGC president, Claudia Bates, has chosen this special project to encourage club members to plant blooming trees across Florida. Learn which blooming trees can be successfully grown in NE Florida and how to care for them. 

At our meeting Horticulturalist Aimee Underwood of Liberty Landscape Supply, Fernandina Beach, leads a discussion about cultivating blooming trees in NE Florida, including citrus trees.
